When a person uses a phone card whether it be on their cell phone or land line the call can not be traced....The calling card has either an 800 # or 1-888 # to dial before the caller has to prompt the pin # in and then the area & phone # of where he's calling. Who ever recieves the call will not be able to know who is calling in even if they have caller I D because the call as been routed through so many channels. Your husband could be using the calling card on his cell because it may be saving him money on his cell phone plan. Have you asked him why ? There are only 2 good reasons I am aware that the calling cards come in handy 1) to avoid a bill on your account, 2) To prevent the person who is being called to know the true location of where the incoming call is being made. If you suspect something fishy there are other ways to find out about the mysterious calls. Press : REDIAL, or enter his incoming / outgoing call function on his phone. and check his phone bill...hope this helps..Remember if you dig you may find something you won't like. But good luck.

Very simple. a phone number using the calling card will not show on his cell phone bill. Wake up and smell the coffee. Go with your intuition and not your heart. Be sensible and realistic about this. Do you really believe that by going straight to him...he is going to tell you the truth if he is doing some extracurricular activities. This is the downfall so many women have with their partner. men are able to manipulate the situation by pulling at your heart strings.

I use a phone card on my cell to call my family in another country. If you want to know why your husband used a phone card - ask HIM.

Because he didn't want the real number to show up on the phone bill.

Cell phone providers don't usually charge for long distance and you use the minutes whether you use a calling card or not. Someone has given him a tip to keep those difficult to explain phone numbers from showing up on his phone bill.

I think your husband wanted to save long distance fee. Using phone card to make long distance calls is much cheaper than direct call. You can compare it at http://www.eecalling.com.

If you mean cell phone prepaid card instead of monthly plan, I guess he use much less air time than monthly plan. Because I use it also.

Sometimes I buy phone minutes with phone cards. Maybe that's what he was doing. Instead of worrying yourself gray about it, just ask him. It is possible he wasn't doing anything wrong.

Sounds to me like you have some a trust issue with your husband. Go and ask him, see what he says. Good luck.

Only if he wanted to call overseas. Or, just for the H of it to use up the minutes on the phone card.

positive answer: he found out he could save money that way (my wife saw the au pair doing it, so starting doing it for herself ;-)

worrying answer: he needs to make untraceable phone calls that won't show up on any bill, paper or on-line

I hope it's the positive answer of course

ask him! Nothing is worse than suspicion, there's a good reason Shakespeare made it into a (nasty) character (Iago).

Cause he doesn't want you to know who is calling my soon to be ex did that right before he cleared my bank account and ran away without a word. I would ask questions as I am sure something fishy is going on!
