i keep running into other brand claiming better and more durable ... those that would know please give me a good brand for a serpentine belt for a '02 Toyota camry!!!

In my experience with Toyota cars the Goodyear gator grip is the best to use..if you look at the pulley on a Toyota compared to a gm..the grooves are much deeper and the dayco can sometimes squeal in the pulleys..the gator grip has a deeper biting edge to it..that helps it hold tight to the pulley..and the other bonus is the routing diagram for the belt is right on the box

hey there well you can go with the cheapest one the only thing better with the other brands is the price they all pretty much wear the same and have the same life spand its totaly up to you as to how much you want to spend on a new belt but i wouldn't pay top dollor for a new belt any brand of belt will be good hope this helps you out a little

I would go with a premium Dayco or Gates brand. They are professional grade and designed for extra long life.
