Phase 1 complete they hold both houses of congress. Phase 2 undo bush's power grabs. Phase 3 install new rules in congress that remove earmarks or at least make such earmarks pass by super majority that way only truly worthy ear marks get passed. Give the ethics committee real teeth and a truly 50/50 power share no stacking of committees. phase 4 impeach bush and Cheney once they are gone Nancy Pelosi become 1st female president. Democratic takeover of govt complete.

I think I did. I voted for Castor in FL and won. First electoral win ever!! Besides, the Dems won the House and Senate with class, especially the Senate. Montana and Virginia were good and tough races and two powerful Dems, Tester and Webb, proved to the rest that the Democrats can win football games in the 4th quarter without blowing a lead.

I got more than I wanted!
It was like Christmas.
I felt pretty confident about the Democrats regaining the House, but getting the Senate as well was a huge bonus.
I can't wait to see the next State of The Union address when Cheney has to sit next to Pelosi behind Dubyah!!!
If it's possible for Cheney to look more pissed off than usual, that will probably do it!

The CT 4th unfortunately kept the local bums in. But the USA as a whole showed Dictator Dumbya what for and THAT is a reason to hope. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

I'm glad the democrats took over both houses. It adds more checks and balances to our whole lawmaking system. Problem with that is more red tape to go through and more time for something to happen when congress and the president are butting heads.

I applaud Michigan turning down affirmative action, Arizona for approving English as official language, and 7 states saying no to homosexual marriage (i.e., seven less states Jim can get married in).

In a way yes. I am a Republican and my wife is a Liberal. She was so happy I got a hummer (not the car). So in the end the whole thing was worth it.

I'm proud of my home state, for bucking the trend and electing a non-incumbent republican senator.

Well, here in Ohio we switched from bright red to a nice bright shade of blue. So yeah, I got what I wanted.

I was disappointed in the elections but after reviewing many of the Democrats that won and seeing many of them actually hold to some conservative values, my disappointment has decreased, and I've begun to look at what lays ahead for our great country
