Aside from the obvious that you shouldn't use a baby carrier when riding a bicycle...

I have a baby bjorn, and they're not made for newborns. Unless of course your baby is over 8 lbs, and is long enough not to get smothered.

Yeah, sure. Risk an innocent baby's life by taking the baby with you on a bike ride. I don't care how good of a rider you may be, it's always somebody else that runs over folks on bicycles. What happens if your front brake happens to fall into your tire and you go sailing over the handlebars? Then what? No. Get a baysitter and leave baby at home or don't go. A 3 week old only wakes up enough to eat, poop, cry and back to sleep they go. They will not even be aware of a ride in a trailer.

No. It even says on the label on my Bjorn that "This Baby Carrier is designed for use by adults while walking only."

Also, keep in mind that you can only use the Bjorn when your baby is over 8 lbs in weight.

Yes you can, but it is bordering on child abuse.

The American Paediatric Society does not recommend putting babies on, in, or attached to a bike in a carrier, seat or trailer until they are old enough for a helmet. Which isn't until AT LEAST one year.

What would happen if you fell, or got hit by a car. Even the best bike riders can have accidents, equipment can fail, other people or objects can interfere.

This is a joke, right? Not only is it not safe for the baby but it can be very painful for you. How could you even think about sitting on a bicycle after giving birth less than a month ago? Unless, well, are you the dad?

No! Very dangerous. That should not be done with any age baby-not in a Bjorn carrier. Mine came with a warning tag that said not to use it in sporting activities. Check yours.

No. You have a newborn. Stop making everything about you. Being a parent means putting the good of your child ahead of your wants and desires, even if that means working out. Wait a month or two, and then only carry him in a bike infant seat or better yet, a tow-behind carrier.

While it is unnecessary to make rude comments at you I do agree with everyone else, it is not safe to take a baby on a bike ride with you even in a bjorn carrier. If you fall it is very likely the baby will be horribly injured or even killed. Please don't put your baby at risk, be safe, just don't do it. PLEASE!

As the other post so politely pointed out-not a good idea. Baby can't wear a helmet, and the sling is no protection from a fall. A jogging stroller, however, is a great way to get excercise. Used ones can be found on craigslist and EBay.

sure. We had our daughter contained in the toddler Bjorn even as she replaced into only a week previous, and he or she loved it. make confident you've it placed to face you, and make confident the straps are tight. this may save the toddler supported. also, besides the undeniable fact that there is a few difficulty about weight distribution in this variety of service, that is extremely purely a issue if you save their little ones in them for hours and hours on a daily foundation. i does not save her in it more effective than an hour at a time at this level, besides the undeniable fact that that is high-quality to apply it. My daughter replaced into very unhappy even as she were given too enormous for her bjorn - she replaced into highly excited even as she replaced into previous sufficient to face outward. She by no potential did similar to this style of sling that keeps a toddler laying down.
