I feel your pain I had an 11lbs baby that was almost 2 weeks late. I tried everything to get him out and nothing I didn't even start to dialate until hours into labor and I ended up having a c-section. Sex is what put me into labor better late than never right!!

perfectly normal to not have any of those things happening. I never dialated or lost my plug until I was in full blown labor. Just be patient, walk alot get alot of rest :)

I wasn't dialated with my first baby (turned out to be 11lbs, 7oz). I was induced at 9 days overdue. Try to enjoy the last of your pregnancy with this baby. You'll want it back before you know it!

You can try to walk, eat spicy things, and have sex. These are things that 'have worked' for other people. (Or was it coinsidance?)

have sex. there is something in the sperm that can help to get things going, thats what my doc told me, however both of my children were late, the first was 2 weeks and i was induced and the second was a week late, i went into labor but my little acrobat was breech and we had to have a c section. so obvoisly the sperm thing didn't work for me but that was all that was recommended.

Usually doctors will induce the process by popping your water bag by hand, it is then that the process of giving birth will take affect. But I would have a professional consult you on whether or not you should get your water popped inorder to start your birthing.

The best thing to do is to have sex. Sperm is good to bring on labor because of the hormones, and you need to have an orgasm to release hormones as well. This is way more productive than walking!
Then you need to Relax! Talk to your baby tell him/her its time, tell yourself its time as well.
I had 2 big babies (over 9 lbs) and I had some fairly serious anxiety prior to delivery over their predicted size.
Your Dr/midwife can 'strip your membranes' - isn't anyone offering to do that? There are many things to do to jump-start your labor.

Have sex and talk to your Dr./Midwife.

Dont worry first of all. Second - if your doctor feels the need to get things started for you, he or she will scrape your membrane to encourage the process along.

Not stressing is the most important things, along with your routine doctos visits.

The same thing happened to me and I had to be induced. Try walking and sitting on a birthing ball
