I'm a blink-182 fan and one of their songs is titled this. In the CD book they said it was a term describing how lonely space was for astronauts, how it kind of drives them crazy. I've tried to look it up before the word doesn't seem to exist anywhere!

ASTHENIA is the name of the track.

"NASA transmissions are played before the start of "Asthenia," a song about an astronaut battling loneliness. The line "Should I go back?" is adapted from the song's original title "Shoulda Got Caught", which was originally about a similar topic to "Down". "Asthenia" underwent many changes on topic and lyrics from the start to finish of recording"

it's of or having to do with anesthesiology and/or anesthesia. It is a medical term but Blink used to for their song in an appropo manner as being in space would give you the feeling of being numb.
