Layer a large ceramic bowl with smashed up graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, about 1/2" thick.

Then put in a layer of vanilla pudding.

Then a layer of fruited strawberry jello

Then a layer of strawberry jello, cool whip and 7-up mixture (use the liquids and whip instead of water when making it).

Each layer goes in seperately. Serve with more whipped topping on the side.

I have NO idea what this is called, and I don't have a better recipe than that, but if you make it...people will LOVE IT!

Didn't tell us how many were in the group? But anyway, take a Gal. of Vanilla Ice Cream, and ALL the "fixings" including "cones" - get Orange Sprinkles!those little pumpkin candies you can "push" on the top of which anyway the guest wants. You see, after a Big meal, people like to get up and walk around, go for a "smoke"(bad, bad)LOL - So Ice cream is perfect, they can go do their "business" and grab an Ice cream cone, or wait and come back and make themselves a dish. The ice cream can also be used to put on top of the pies that others have brought. You don't need a receipt for this, just use your "imagination" - PS - Happy Thanksgiving and Have Fun!

Why not take some kind of cookie or cookie bar. People love having those at a party, especially when there are other kinds of dessert.

Try this one for magic cookie bars:

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup butter
1-1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
3-1/2 ounce can (1-1/3 cups) flaked coconut
1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place butter in a 9X13 baking pan. Melt in oven. Remove pan from oven and carefully tilt pan to spread melted butter around. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over melted butter.

Pour sweetened condensed milk over the crumbs. Top with remaining ingredients. Bake 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars.

In place of the chocolate chips I always use baking m&ms during this time of year because they make me think of Chrismtas lights. :)

Cranberry Mousse

20 oz crushed pineapple
1 c water
6 oz cranberry gelatin
16 oz cranberry sauce
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp nutmeg
8 oz sour cream
1/2 c chopped pecans

Drain the pineapple, reserving the liquid. Add the liquid and water to the gelatin in saucepan and stir. Boil until the gelatin dissolves; remove from the heat.

Pour the gelatin into a large Pyrex serving bowl. Blend in the cranberry sauce, lemon juice, grated peel and nutmeg. Chill until the mixture thickens slightly, then blend in the sour cream. Fold in the pineapple and pecans. Chill until firm, about two to four hours, or overnight.

A really easy dessert is a banana pudding dish. You take a thing of bananas and slice them into pieces. Then you take a box of vanilla wafers. Make about 3 boxs of banana pudding mix it up as directed and put layers into a glass casserole dish. One layer of wafers on bottom toped with bananas then cover with pudding. Repeat this until all the ingredients are gone. Then you can decorate the top with more bananas and wafers. This is very easy and everyone just loves it. But make sure you make it right before the party. The bananas will change colors if left sitting. Good Luck. Hope this helps.
