We were looking at a car on EBay and the listing said to contact the seller thru a email address seperate from ebay. We agreed to a price but told them we wanted it to go thru ebay for everyone's protection. Then we got this email from "ebay" telling us to western union the money to a designated "cash agent" and the money would be held until we could inspect the vehicle. We questioned it so the guy agreed to ship the vehicle first and then we would send the money so he sent us a link to this website and a tracking number. I'm afraid it's a scam b/c the car was about $15,000 less than blue book and ebay says to never wire money!! Please help!!!

In my experience, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is! If you make the deal outside of the eBay, you will not be protected, you will not have any recourse to even try to get your money back! With the limited information you have just given I would say that this is more than likely a scam!

Hey Marcy. There are plenty of ways to make money from home and those who say otherwise just don't have the drive to succeed or are just negative people who have had bad experiences. We have tried a few other businesses that failed in the past. didn't give up and finally found one that works. I am a stay at home mom of 3 and I can work my business around my schedule. I don't have to stock pile or do any billing, No selling. With whatever you do make sure you research it. weigh the pros and cons. But in this economy more and more people are having home businesses as it is a good source of income and there are not a lot of jobs out there.

Okay, they way to see if that email really came from ebay is by forwarding it to spoof@ebay.com From there they will send you an email back telling you if it is a scam or not. I am real sure that it is a scam and the person you are dealing with should have been using paypal and paypal only unless trying to get away from paying the fee for you paying through paypal.

The website is gone, there is a new one under a different name, and people are warning everyone not to do business with them since they are part of a mafia money laundering ring.

Contact eBay at once and contact your local law enforcement.

In the meantime, drop me a note to my email with info on what type/make/model/year of car you are looking for and I will see if there is anything in my area available.

Website doesn't load/exist.
I would ask to have the car sent COD and then you can give a money order to the delivery driver.
There are a number of auto shipping brokers out there, perhaps you could use one of them instead??

Don't do it. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If it were a legitimate vendor, they would work with you through legitimate, ordinary channels. There is no reason to make it so convoluted unless it's a scam.
Also, since Ebay says don't do it, if anything goes wrong, you'd have absolutely no legal recourse anywhere.
