Is there a way to see what I have asked my firewall to block?
I think I may have accidentally asked it to block a Java application

Most firewall software's have a viewable list of what is allowed and what is blocked. It is dependant on the specific software, so you have to name which Firewall software you are using.

I assume you are using Windows Firewall as you have specified no other brand. In control panel open up the Windows Firewall applet. Ensure exceptions are allowed and click the exceptions tab to view which items are permitted through the firewall.
