Newborns have very limited vision. They can see the differences between blocks of color and that's about it. That's why they like black, white, and red, because of the high contrast. Babies just love checkerboards. However, they probably won't look at what they are wearing, they will look away from them. So what you put on them doesn't matter.

I have dressed my daughter in pink, purple, blue, red, lite green, white, and all colors. But it seems like her favorite color is yellow. If Ihold up outfits for her to see she always looks at the yellow one and when we took her to the hispanic store to get a blanket we held up 3 or 4 different ones and she grabed the yellow one.By the way she is 11 months old.

You can dress your little girl in whatever color you want - as far as the black/white/red thats to get them to see things. But as far as clothes are whatever you want to put on your little one it's your choice untl your child tells you they don't want to wear that or they are buying their clothes on their own..hope that helps...

Babies need high contrast, like balck and white.. However.. I wouldn't go dressing my little girl in just black/white/Black and White.
Why not dress her in what you think is cute?
