I want one for christmas, but if the price doesn't drop before then I'll have to get the core system instead of the premium so that I can still afford games.
Any predictions?

I'm not wasting my money on another piece of garbage Playstation! Even the PS2's that are on shelves today STILL have disc reading problems! Plus, what kind of games does it have? The only game I can think of is Final Fantasy. Everything else will be on the XBox in a better form 6 months later.... GTA, MGS, ect, ect...

I don't think it will because the PS3 supply is so short. You will probably see some bundled deals but no price drop until the spring to undermine PS3 availability.

I don't see it dropping down, especially now, odds are the only thing that will happen is that there will just be a few bundles that add up to an ok deal. As for the getting the core system, I don't want to tell you how to spend your money as I'm in the same boat as you, but the reality is it would cost you more to upgrade than to buy the premium system, because no matter what, you will need the hard drive which the core does not come with.

Get the PS3...
BluRay Discs hold like 10x the amount of info than the 360... which means that games will be bigger and better on the PS3... plus you will be able to play BluRay HD movies (The new DVD standard) on your PS3 and not have to buy a player as well.
The price of the 360 is NOT going to go down before christmas... and the PS3 is only $100 more...
And getting the 'core' 360 system is a waste of money anyway.
Get the PS3 so you wont be kicking your own **** in 6 months...
Also, if you have a credit card, go wait in line and buy TWO PS3s the day they come out... then ebay one and you will pay for both of them and get your PS3 for free.

I seriously doubt they will go down in price before Christmas, after all tis the season for making money.........for the retailers and taking the consumers....................

PS3 sucks But it should drop down my friend is a manger at Toys R Us and he thinks irt will drop down.
