IT DEPENDS ON THE KIDS AND THE PARENTS. SOME WORTHLESS PARENTS JUST PARK THEIR KIDS IN FRONT OF THE TUBE AND PRETEND IT IS A BABYSITTER.

I say Yes every kind of entertainment today for kids evolves around TV. Parents today use TV as a way to keep kids busy. Because of this kids are lazy and getting fat from lack of exercise. Because of TV kids and adults do not get out doors any more. What a shame. Their brains are getting lazy too instead of using books or parents teaching the kids they also use the TV to do this. This also includes the internet.

Most of the ones I see do. If they aren't watching TV they are on the computer (like I am now). Most of the time I see them doing both at one time. They don't get any exercise and most of them do not want to leave the TV to even take a phone call from a school mate. It isn't all their fault; I have seen many parents use the TV as a babysitter.

I think it all depends on the age i mean my 3 year old son would watch about 6-8 hours of TV a day and it helped him learn, if i tried to teach he would ignore me but if a cartoon or something said it he would do it. he even learned to jump from the TV but now that he is 3 and started school he watches allot less more like 3-4 hours a night if that so i think it depends on the age the older they get the more things there are for them to do. sport, mall, school activities, etc.
but it also depends on what you are letting them watch like there is a big difference between the wiggles and jackass, there my son is only allowed to watch age appropriate shows. and watch more durring the winter then summer because its to cold to go out side.

Obviously... just look at yahoo answers t.v. and that's not all of them. My gosh, I can't believe how many channels there are now on t.v. Just take a look at the schools, malls, parks, everywhere. Children are acting like those goofy cartoons. I believe parents have used t.v. to be their babysitters. It's a shame but there is proof all around. Thank you.

Yes! Way too much! Im actually concerned because that makes them lose focus of school, homework, etc.
But whatever it's the parents fault they get blind because they don't say anything to them. *signs*

Yeah. I remember when I was little I would rather be outside playing and running around, not stuck inside watching tv. Now...You can't pay me to go outside and play! lol ;)

Probably, but at least you know where they are. Depends too on their age.....and what they're watching.
