lay them out in the yard for about a month should get them looking oretty old.

Put them somewhere safe for the next 300 years preferably somewhere like the place where the old beam were. :-D

Apart from waiting a couple of hundred
years, you could try getting an "expert" to stain them, but I don't know I think it would still look wrong. The only thing I can think of if you have the money is get a duplicate set and leave them outside for as many years as you can. Sorry not a lot of help really.

I would stain them. if you have a sample of the old beam, you could take it to a paint store, and find stain to match. I would suggest Zar brand wood stain. it is a wiping stain that should give you a good range of colors to choose from. zar is available at a wide range of paint/hardware store. it is made by ugl, the same company that makes drylok waterproofer. check the website for a dealer near you

A coat of cresote should do the trick.

Very cheap as well.
