i was following a govt.jeep at a safe distance when a car just assumed that the space btween us was 4 her..the jeep stopped to avoid an accident and the car in front of me hit him..i had no time to react as i was allready slowing downwhen she slammed on her brakes..my truck was totaled..hers was not..the jeep went to work...i did not..i have liability ins as per the law..now i want my truck fixed...who do i go after?

good luck ,you hit her from behind. You were also the last one in the accident.. Technically, she could sue you. You would sue her via her insurance company

It would be great if you could round up some witnesses to suport your claim. How was the police report written? Was the car cited for failure to yield or anything? If you have witnesses and police report to support your claim start with her insurance company - you will probably need a lawyer though because they are not going to just hand you a check unless they have to. The person who caused the chain reaction.......you will have to prove that you had no choice in your decision. You need a copy of the police report and a lawyer.....Good Luck !!!!!
