I asked this before and all I got was a jerk who said she wasn't doing my homework for me. How many are each?

Oddly enough this is NOT an easy thing to find. I found it at only a few sites. Eash contradicting the others. Once I found an unbiased source, it breaks down like this.....

Rep-31%
Dem-29%
Independent 40%

As Voted on Nov 7th

Democrat 53%
Republican 44%
Ind 3%

If I were to hazard a guess I would say....40% Republicans, 38% Democrats, 20% Independent, 2% Other

Unfortunately, they are in truth, one big party. These are just two competing factions for control of the show. Imagine the U.S. is an advertising agency. Republicans might be sales and marketing, Democrats art and human resources. They both need more money in their budgets to justify their existence and prove their worth. It's a scam at this point.

This is a difficult statistic to come by, because each state does its reporting differently or may not report at all. The best way for you to find out would be to look at the Secretary of State's websites for each state. For instance, CA's Secretary of State says that as of October 15th 42.48% of registered voters were Democratic and 34.33% Republican.

registered about 34% reps 33% dems the rest claim to be independents or moderates, plus some green party people and other third party people.
However I think that 66% of Americans are Conservative, not 100% hard core conservative but conserative on most issues
