If you are using reliability as the gauge of better, then Asian cars overall are better than either European or North American cars. Based upon the reader surveys published by Consumer Reports, Asian cars are the best, followed by North American cars and then European cars. Over the years, the amount of difference has shrunk. I rely on Consumer Reports because its information is based upon thousands of answers and is unbiased.

European cars are more well engineered cars, better quality! But Asian car are also built to last but the body rusts out before the motor goes!!! It is everybody's personally opinion about the too! They are both are good!!!

Personally, I like them both.
The European cars tend to have more legroom and more horsepower than the Asian cars.
That's about the only differences I can think of. I have owned and driven them all, including Mercedes, Jaguar and BMW. My personal favorite is BMW, and I drive a BMW now.

In terms of high performance, probably. As for initial quality and dependability, I would have to say no. I have been in the repo business for almost four years and have repossessed almost every kind of car with the exception of super high end autos. The key to making a car last is to take care of it with regular maintainance, keeping it clean inside and out, and not abusing it by driving it in a way in which it wasn't intended
