Too late kids. It amazes me how so many people are clueless to how impeachment works. There's not enough time to impeach Bush plus he hasn't done anything you can impeach him for.

Don't give me some whiney hack rhetoric about "starting an illegal war". The Gulf War that started in 1991 legally speaking never ended. Saddam signed a cease fire agreement UNSCR 657 and in short order violated it. Under cease fire terms the nations are still at war they just aren't fighting. Saddam also violated UN Charter 51 by authorizing assassination attempts on US diplomats and on former President Bush. You'd have a hard time making a case based on that because by right the US could have invaded Iraq at anytime. Saddam has only himself to blame.

Congress gave Bush approval for war even if the evidence had been tainted Bush could just invoke UN Charters and security council resolutions plus the fact we were already at war with Iraq. Bush is not as stupid as you would like him to be the only thing they can get him for would be falsefying a document submitted to Congress.

Wiretapping?? So? There were already wiretap laws in effect approved in the 70's the new laws approved by congress just shortened the time frame and remember these were not domestic calls they were international. A call from Syria to the US is not a domestic call.

It took Kenneth Starr 5 years to impeach Clinton for perjury...let me repeat that. Clinton was NOT impeached for having oral sex he was impeached for perjury and even though he was impeached he was not evicted.

The numbers aren't there. You need 2/3rd majority to impeach Bush and remove him from office and the numbers just aren't there. The democrats have a tiny majority and not all of them are willing to impeach.

Bush will not be impeached so put it out of your mind hippies have been calling for it since he won back in 2000 and 6 years later he's still here until 2008 when his term ends and John McCain becomes the next president.

I think it is ridiculous mudslinging. I also think it will fail because if you impeach Bush and Cheney for their part, you can't stop there! This is a democracy and like it or not, Bush got Congressional approval before liberating Iraq from Saddam, and this includes a good many Democrats. We going to impeach them too as accessories? They read the same intelligence reports Bush and Cheney did and came to the same conclusion that action was required. The last I checked, having your supporters flip-flop in a state of wishy-washiness is not an impeachable offense!

Thanks for asking.

Guess this is her first test - is she telling the truth or blowing smoke? Time will tell

REP. NANCY PELOSI: Democrats are not about getting even. Democrats are about helping the American people get ahead. And that's what our agenda is about. So while some people are excited about prospects that they have, in terms of their priorities, they are not our priorities. I have said, and I say again, that impeachment is off the table.

About DAMN time!!!! I will however respect it when there are some charges followed by some convictions. This president has gone way too far in expanding the power of the presidency. He needs to be hammered hard and his powers rolled back to pre war levels. This would serve as a warning to future presidents with a god complex.

There is no national movement. As you point out, it's a coalition of unemployed bloggers.

They first have to identify what statute the President violated. Saying they hate him isn't enough for impeachment.

I think it is outrageous.

The media has people so out of touch with reality it is unbelievable. President Bush has made mistakes, but so has every other president. He is however the only President to have to deal with the back to back disasters that have occurred during his presidency. The economy is stronger now than it has been in the last twenty years. More small businesses have opened up in the last few years than have in a long time.

History will show the true story after all the dust settles.

It has to originate with the vets for it to fly. Otherwise it will look bogus to the rest of us. the vets will give it enough legitimacy for it to even be heard at all. Bush and Cheney, and the men they represent are too powerful for it to come just out of the democrats.

Since neither has committed any impeachable offenses, they should be impeached. Of course the Dems won't let that slow them down.

This is not the general public. This is disaffected, disenfranchised, too much time on our hand land. If you want to know what the general public thinks you have to go to the unemployment office or the casino in your area.
