My divorce was filed last week... Finally! How long does it take for a divorce to get final? What is the fastest and what is the slowest?

Your average is about a year. The fastest would probably be about 6 months. The longest could be years!!! It all depends on what the people are fighting over and if they are being reasonable or just plain spiteful.

My divorce has been going on for 2 years because she wants more and more. The state requires 90 days after filing. I finally have a final court date because the judge ordered it.

I filed for divoce in Dec. and it was final in March. I guess it depends on how backlogged your courts are and how difficult the divorce is.

depends on the state you live in...here it is about 60 days but here there is a whole year of physical separation first

In Mississippi it is 90 days if it is uncontested.

SLOWER IN TRAILER PARKS,BECAUSE ONE HAS TO ASK THEIR SIBLINGS IF THEY CAN STILL BE FRIENDS.
