Deja Vu - Already Seen.
This can be many things.
Jungian theory states that we all have soul memory. So if you are in a spot that an ancestor was - maybe you have a flashback.
All animals have instints - These are genetic memories. Again flashbacks.
Sometimes one side of your brain process faster than the other, or you store a current event as memory BEFORE your cognitive side actually mulls over it.
Then somtimes it's a step back in time.
Then sometimes it's a quick premonition. Like the time I overheard a boy in the front of my class talk to another about his vacation and I knew the whole entire conversation before he actually said it.... But that could be a wierd coincidence.....

When you see or hear something there is a slight delay (miliseconds) before the message is received and interpreted in the brain. Sometimes we do not realise what we are seeing or hearing as there is so much information being taken in by our senses all at once. So when the brain receives and interprets the info it seems like you are both seeing it for the first time yet you have seen it before (deja vu). However, it is because you actually saw it a millisecond earlier but you did not realise you saw it as you were concentrating on something else.
Hope that makes sense - so difficult to explain!

Evidently, according to the latest theory, deja vu is simply because one side of the brain works a little bit quicker then the other. So, when you get that feeling of having been somewhere before, you actually have. However, it was a fraction of second beforehand.

Deja vu happens when a synapse carrying information to your brain fires twice. so you see the information in your head twice. That is all. Perfectly normal, and does not mean you have brain cancer.

It could be that or if you are into astral projection / out of body experience it could be that you traveled to a spot or did something in an astral travel and the event was in your sub-concious and has finally come to conciousness do to being in or doing the same event or close to it. Trigger.

it could be like a flash back paradox, Ive studded mine for years and when they happen i try to make them last longer ,but it shits me up and gets me para when the paradox effect stutters as if you have got to make a decision ,choose this way or stay where you are ,try and time stretch your deja vu it freaks you out a bit if your head strong you should solve it,

actually its less. when you see something its sent to two parts of the brain, one for long term memory and one for short term, at the same time it checks to see if it already has anythign in long term memory about it. sometimes the signal gets to long term memory before the redundancy check and falsly
"remembers" what you are seeing.
