After Chinese and English, Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world today. It is the official language of 21 countries and the second language in many more, such as the U.S.A. In countries like Japan and Brasil, the study of Spanish as a foreign language has been growing at a very fast pace indeed in recent years. Around 400 million people speak Spanish worldwide and the number continues to grow.
The use of Spanish is also growing in the business world. As the Spanish and South American economies continue to grow and develop, along with the Hispanic market in the United States, interest in Spanish and Hispanic is also increasing.

Spanish is the second most used language in international communication, and it is an official language of the United Nations, the European Union, Mercosur and many other important organizations.

Even though I live in a rural area, I would also say Spanish, as so many people are here and coming here from Mexico. We have only Spanish taught as a second language at our school. We thought we might get Sign Language and I was disappointed when we didn't.

Most definitely Spanish. There is such a demand for bilinguals in so many different professions that often a premium is paid for being bilingual.

However, you must be able to speak proper Spanish (not what they use on the construction sites!), and you must be able to read and write in it as well. My husband teaches Spanish, is wholly bilingual (Spanish was his 1st language, but he speaks Spanish without an American accent and English without a Latino accent), and is amazed at the number of people who claim to speak Spanish, but really only speak "Spanglish," and can't read or write in Spanish at all.

Spanish is a very good one, but I think a lot has to do with where you live or where you would like to work. I'm from St. Louis, MO. and we now have a very large Bosnian population so many businesses are looking for people that can translate and speak Bosnian.

maximum outstanding? Columbian substitute? nicely i think of it relies upon on what you prefer to do, I recommend for enterprise, German, eastern and chinese language (in no particular order) are the acceptable, yet once you prefer to paintings in Italy or the middle east than Italian and Arabic, respectively, are extra valuable. Spanish is okay interior america, specific, yet merely approximately 10% of the U.S. speaks Spanish, and over ninety 5% of the U.S. speaks English fluently or to a sophisticated point, such as that 10%, so that's approximately popular to me. For me a language could be chosen in view which you adore it, the subculture thy comes with studying it, and/or plan to bypass to the country that's predominantly spoken in.

I would say Spanish as well, but depending on your line of work, Arabic might be a helpful language to know as well.
