well that's kind of a hard question ta answer without knowing what type program you are running on your pc. You can check here to see if you have a windows opperating system. Open your start menu, go to setting's, click on the control panel. In the control panal you will see an icon that will say firwall under it. Double click the firewall icon. After it opens it will give you 2 choices. Either you click "on", or you click "off". I recomend you leave it on for protection. Next time be a little more specific on your question so you can get a better answer. Good luck. Mikie.

Angie M. I will do my best to help you. "do I have a firewall"?. (The question very vague). Go to Start Menu, open settings, open control panel. And look for an icon, "Security Center", that is if you are running Windows XP Pro. or Home. If you seen "Security Center". open and turn off the firewall.

The reason you want to turn off Microsoft's firewall is that is only a one way protection. Traffice coming in only with no protection from data leaving your pc.

All firewall are suppose to have two way protection. Data coming into your pc and data leaving your pc.

If the above is the case, you can download a free for home personl use, from http://www.zonealarm.com They will give you daily updates if required, plus any new version of the free for home personal use you will get free as an automatic download.

Hope this helps you. Please next time be a little more indepth about your question.
