The Browns defense rocks. They shut down michael vick and the falcons last week. They come up strong every week. (this is partially unrealized since they are always on the field) the browns have a lot of talent on offense including kellen winslow, braylon edwards, and ruben drones who rushed for over 1000 yards last year.

this leaves three possible reasons for the browns 3-6 record....
1. poor offensive line
2. poor offensive coaching
3. charlie frye sucks

1 and 2 are definite problems but I believe this is one situation where if we had a decent QB, it could make the Browns competitive. It could help get the ball in the hands of our playmakers like winslow and edwards. What do you think?

Clevelands Defense is not the problem. they are ranked 19 out of 32 but this is due to them being on the field so much. As for the Off line, even when Frye has enough time to throw, he is indecisive and no line can hold forever... I think people have cut Charlie too much slack.

I don't think the browns defense as a whole is great, just thier pass defense. And because they were able to shut down vick through the air, they could easily focus on the running game. I think that a QB like Smith could really help, but then again, at Ohio State he has some great pretection, so who knows what might happen if he gets put behind a less than stellar o-line.

They won't waste the money they have tied up in Charlie Frye. The Browns problem is their O-line -not QB. Charlie will be fine if he had protection. If their defense could stop anyone from scoring, that might help too.

whoever gets the first pick in the draft should take one of the quarterbacks whether it be troy smith or brady quinn or whatever other quarteback comes along but the browns have competition for the first pick which most likely belongs to arizona but they don't need a qb but the raiders browns lions bills need a qb as well

man I wish, I don't think its gonna happen, and btw, he won't be a packer either, because they have a backup who has been waiting to take that spot for about 2 years now.

anywho, I hope he doesn't go to the raiders, because that would stink. I think he will go to a team like the bills or maybe the 49ers

He wishes, but it looks like he's likely the next Raiders QB.
