I don't think there's a difference. I bought a couple bottles from the farmers coop, Fish Mox 250 mg amoxicillin and Fish Tetracycline, don't know the dosage on those. They're in capsule form, and all the people around go and buy them for their other pets-cats and dogs farm animals, because it's the same thing the vet gives out.

The only difference is the human would take the 250mgs in a tablet. Getting the whole dose then needing more in 4-6 hrs.
You would treat a large tank of fish through the water..They would receive a small amount of Diluted medication over the week before you Could re-dose them. And the tank filter would take away a percentage of the dose too.

Nothing, they're the same. My grandma Millie used to come over and whine about all of her illnessess, go through our cabinets, and take whatever she felt like taking. Her favorite was antibiotics, and well, one time she our DOGS for his ears by accident! We didn't find out until a while after this happened so we didn't tell her as she'd taken them already and was fine. LOL, we called the vet just in case though, and she said that they're the same anyhow. So, there's your answer. Animals and humans get the same amoxicillin.

Nothing. Perhaps the human is a "higher grade", but a friend was given a prescription for (2 )250mg Amoxi capsules for use in his fish tank with his exotic fish. The vet only had tablets.
