There are 8 possible families, because the oldest, middle, and youngest child can each be a boy or a girl, and 2^3 = 8. Assuming that the odds are 50/50 of having a boy or a girl, then each of the 8 families is as likely as every other. Only three of the families have exactly one boy; either only the oldest is a boy, only the middle child is a boy, or only the youngest child is a boy. So the odds are 3/8 = 37.5% of having exactly one boy.

Three is a good number, I do not know all three of ours came out boys....Good luck Have at least one girl, it gets lonely here talking with all guys.....

You can increase your chances of one boy by timing your ovulation and the days you have sex.


Boy sperm swim fast but die fast in the female body
Girl sperm swim slow but die slow in the female body

SO, if you want a girl, have sex a day or 2 before ovulation.
if you want a boy have sex the day you ovulate

the combinations with one boy are : bgg,gbg,ggb thus prob for 1 boy ( and 2 girls ) is 3/8
