I think you might have better luck finding a teaching job but you would probably get paid more with political science. What about being a history/government/social studies teacher?

I think a political science degree may be best. You can intern on someones campaign your last couple of years of college prior to getting your degree. Then, by making those connections, your future is up to you. You can continue working on a campaign on a local level to build your own career before developing a campaign for your own election or you can continue working for the campaigns of higher politicians and develop quite a career through them.

certainly, regulation faculties desire applicants from a extensive spectrum of majors. in case you desire to bypass to regulation college, it somewhat is a competent degree, yet there is no "pre-regulation" curriculum. regulation faculties have engineering majors too. And in case you do no longer bypass to regulation college, a poli-sci degree is well worth approximately as plenty through fact the paper it is revealed on. in line with probability no longer even that plenty. what proportion agencies have use for a political scientist?

You could have a double major and do both. Then apply for the job that is available and take the one that pays the best.
