Yeah - I think Veteran's Day is the "new Thanksgiving" - we noticed sales on and right after Nov. 11th, Santa showing up at the mall, etc. Greed

It's rushed every year.
I used to work in a variety store. Every year, right after the Halloween stuff was cleared off the shelves, Christmas decorations were put out. I, like you, thought that was rushing it. However, you would be amazed at the amount of people who were asking prior to Halloween when we were going to put out Christmas! Once it was out, those same people were there...to see what we had and take advantage of the best selection. Our town is in an isolated part of the state, so if they didn't see anything they wanted, they had time to plan a 300 mile trip to the next nearest place to shop. For others, it served as a reminder that it was time to start thinking and doing about Christmas. In our town, at least, putting out Christmas merchandise early is actually somewhat beneficial.

I think every year the Christmas season is rushed. Most department stores have holiday decorations up, and is setting up the Christmas items right around Halloween. I noticed when shopping for Halloween, store were already putting there Christmas stock out. I think that they should wait until the middle of November to start. That's what I think.

its rushe every year but this year seems to be even more so . the stores were putting out christmas stuff before halloween this year. the reason its rushed is we the people go out and buy that stuff as soon as they put it out.

If it keeps it up, before long they will be having the Christmas season all year long.
However, every day should be like Christmas, we should remember what the Christmas season represents and strive to be more like Jesus.
