Remember the old commercial line as a person pops his or herself in the head, "Gee, I could have had a V-8!"? Sometimes you have not because you ask not. Sometimes how much they have is a factor of how much they are interested or sold on something.

I agree with all of the IRA's and 401k's, my options were to invest in antiques and real estate. 401k's are proving to be a losers options with the corruption in the corporations and all of the corporate bankruptcy's. They aren't paying off their commitments and the uneducated general public was taken for another ride.

Because they are lazy, and also because they want to find someone else to blame if their investment does not work out.
