Hi, i hav a fish tank with tropical fish inside and am also intrested in getting another small tank for a terrapin, hopefully if my parents get convinced that i cant get salmenela from them...
SO if anyone can tell me about the smallest species i would really appreciate it!

The smallest terrapins (pond turtles in the US) are the Reeves turtle (adult size 4-6") and the American mud and musk turtles, most of which will stay below 6" as adults. There are some others but they are harder to locate.

You can learn about the Salmonella risk and general cares at a good site like http://www.austinsturtlepage.com
