I've had this lizard for about 2 1/2 months now and he is 7 1/2 months old. His aquarium thingy is always at about 80-90 degrees and at night i shut off the UVB light to cool it off. He also refuses to eat anything other than crickets and I covered crickets in that Calcium dust. I also spray him with some water to keep him hydrated so what could the problem be?

firstly are u sure it is not just shaking head - communication with you, perfectly normal. this could occur as it grows up, you know. or sometimes they see their reflection on the glass tank (which could be even stressing for some animals) and then they shake their heads at themselves even if nobody is around
if it is really a seisure it could be calcium or vitamin defficiency or even vitamin overdose. so check this

or it could be a problem of the brain (maybe result of inbreeding, or just bad chance - you know in nature not all babies would survive but only the fittest..or poor diet in early life) sometimes nothing can be done, sometimes vitamins of the B group (B1) work miracles and they cant do any harm, so you can just try it.

but the question is what kind of seisures? what it looks like?

What kind of seizures? is his whole body shaking; or only his head? Everyone has their own personal opinion about substrates; sand is ok, just don't use calci-sand. The only advice i can give you is schedule a vet visit. Seizures in reptiles can be caused by a number of things.

BTW, his basking spot needs to be between 100 and 110 in order for him to properly digest his food.

hi there
what type of substrate r u using is it sand get rid of it... babies and juveniles tend to eat the sand ... we made that mistake a few yrs back and our female died... she was impacted and she was having seizures. and within 24hrs she was gone use aspen or paper towel(without any print)...crickets are better then nothing in actual fact younger beadies have to have more meat (insects) then veggies 70%-80% meat(insects) to 30%-20% fruits and veggies when they're older(adults) it's the other way more veggies then meat .... try cutting up smaller pieces of fruits and veggies .(rule is nothing bigger then between their eyes nothing longer then the length between the eye to their snout. if that don't work and he still having seizures get him to a vet asap
