Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's President has shrugged off both Security Council demands that it stop developing its enrichment programs and urgings that it cease construction of a heavy water research reactor that produces plutonium waste. Iran insists it wants enrichment only to generate nuclear power and says it needs the Arak research reactor to produce isotopes for medical research and cancer treatment.

Iran, OPEC's second oil producer, expects to record a surplus of 24.4 bln usd in oil income compared to what it had budgeted for the current Iranian year -- from March 2005 to March 2006 -- which was 16.1 bln usds, the Iranian National Oil Company said on Wednesday.

yes the world should care but the ones who could really stop Iran want because their making a profit . i think this will seal Iran faith on this nuclear issue . the UN will have no choice but to start sanctions . and the USA or Israel will make a pre emptive attack on iran nukes sites
