They are dumb, they really are brine shrimp. If you have young kids, it may be amusing to them. The simple truth is that they are just brine shrimp and are quite boring for anything other than fish food.

Sea monkeys are really small and teeny shrimp. They are pretty weird. I used to have some but they all die very quickly. You get a tank and the food and eggs and everything but my personal opinion is that it's a rip-off.

They are a rip off. They are brine shrimp bred in bulk for fish food. They look absolutely nothing like monkeys.
They are so small that they are very difficult to see. Its a brilliant marketing scheme charging kids over a fiver for a plastic pot with some miniscule shrimp.

They are little tiny brine shrimps...you add a powder to the tank that contains the eggs, and wait...all the instructions are with the kit.

My bf had them. He had Triops too. They grow bigger than sea monkeys and look like mini sting rays. They die after a few weeks tho. They lay eggs and in the kit you should get some sand, you dry the sand out after they've died and add it to water and they hatch out again. Kinda interesting...but freaky looking.
You can get the kit for around £7.99 from Argos.

Basically..they are fish food. Thats what theyre used for and somebody got the bright idea to sell them for double the price as "pets". You cant really see them individually when you have them, you just see a bunch of little things gliding through the water. Some people like them, i especially think theyre good for young children because they are hastle free and cheap. If you ask me i say they are boring and belong in my fishs belly but again, thats just me.

They are teeny-tiny. I think they are in the shrimp family. We had some years ago when I was a kid but I'm afraid that's all I remember. (Old age getting to me I guess. LOL).

Well they can be quite fun for kids - teeny though, you need good eyesight. Cheaper and less hassle than any other pet, but they dont rush to greet and lick you at the door!
