The U.S. government collects nearly a trillion dollars a year from income of citizens. This is nearly three times as much as they receive from the corporations per annum for whom the tax was established. If you had 300 million people paying willingly a compulsory tax that is by constitutional decree (16th amendment) to be apportioned, but is graduated, wouldn't you want to creat committees and studies and departments and agencies comprised mainly of your friends (the aisle is purely subjective to the outside observer) to help perpetrate this foolproof fraud? Wouldn't you then try and collect excise taxes on cigarettes and beer and gas?
