My fiancé is overworked and stressed out, and will be for the next month or month and a half, until things change at work. Do you have any suggestions to help him destress or cheer him up?

Background info: we live together, are 22/23, he works, I don't, and I don't let him do any household work, I do all of that, cooking, cleaning, etc.

Don't bother mentioning sex related stuff, I can figure that much out on my own! :)

I make good meals that he likes, and I got him snacks for at work when he's working late, and candy for at home, and I plan on always having a dessert made (it's cookies right now). I also got orange juice for him to drink because I read that vitamin C is good at helping with stress. So, I figure the food area is taken care of.

I think I'm looking for creative ideas, to make him happy, or else good techniques to help relieve stress.

Thanks!

Making him treats is a good idea, add bananas (high in potassium and B Vitimins-good for de-stressing). Maybe helping him get in a little extra exercise, a bike ride, working out, bowling, etc also great for working off pent up stress. A nice bubble bath with lavender scents in the bath and candles. Aromatheraphy is also helpful. Hope this help! Very sweet of you to help him in his time of need. How lucky he is to have a kind and thoughtful gf!

Tell you fiancee to engage in some type of exercise program or join in a group that plays basketball or running, etc. Anything to work up a sweat and get the heart pumping. This is the best form of stress reliever I've known.

That's really sweet of you, and I am astounded at everything you already do. Sometimes, there's just nothing else you can do - work is reasonably out of your control.

Maybe talk to him and ask if there is anything you can do to help out even more. Otherwise, just be willing to listen when he needs to vent or to leave him alone when he just needs to be quiet.

Usually when a man is in this mode, there's not too much you can do, just be there if he wants to talk, but other than that give a stressed out man plenty of space. :)

if he's asking it tricky, possibly make a scrap e book of images of you both and of places you both like to visit. that way he will have something to ascertain at the same time as he's down and recognize what he's dealing with is to grant a extra valuable life for you both! i wish you both get through the sadness and performance a staggering life jointly :-) xxx
