you can try an old, old ritual..
you hop on the back of the biggest person you know
blind folded. while at the same time have a cd/mp3 player playing sounds of a rollercoaster. Doing this just once will have your paranoia of rollercoasters gone in no time.
This is one of the cheapest and easiest ways i know. Did I mention funnest?

It depends on your budget. If funds are unlimited, I would go for a counceling at a psycolygist. However, this could take many sessions and get very expensive.
With a limited budget you could go for hypnotherapist. It is cheaper but less effective in my oppinion.
The low budget version is buying a free ride pass to an amusement park with various rollercoasters (both really gentle ones and really scary ones). Go on a not so busy day and work your way up from not scary to really scary. Keep riding the same one over and over till you are not scared of it anymore.

Go on one, not to scary, but something like Boomerang in Knott's Berry Farm, Raise your hands and scream your head off. Trust me, forget the counseling and stuff, raising my hands and screaming was how I lost my fear of rollercoasters.

Start small. Go on kiddie coasters, then graduate to non-looping versions. I don't know where you are from, but Jaguar at Knotts Berry Farm near Los Angeles is good for this step. Eventually, you can go on a tame looping coaster, one with one loop and not a whole lot of twists and turns.

The only way in my opinion is just to ride one and that will hopefully get your confidence up to ride another one. Start with riding a basic roller coaster and ride and ride again until you got the confidence to ride more daring roller coasters. You should also ride with a friend, too and don't choke once you get there.

Start by getting on the small ones first and get comfortable. Then move on to the next size and then so on. The more and more you get on, the more the fear will go away.

Yep they're scary. But that's the fun of it. You have to trick your brain. Here's what works for me. It's almost like you're cheating death. But you know it's safe. You scream your butt off and feel the excitement. That's the fun part. The rush from it all. When you get off the ride you're full of life and can't wait to do it again. Give it a try once. You're cheating death.

go on one!! its the most fun everrr!! and make sure you go with a good friend who likes roller coasters that can make you feel better. have them sing with you and be silly on the way up to distract you. and scream the whole time it keeps your stomach from getting that "dropping" feeling!! go on a ride that is newer because it will be more sturdy (not like an old roller coaster will collapse) but it makes you feel better! start small and work your way up. i think the best way to do it is to just try it. my friend went with me and we sung my fergilicious the whole time!!! its was really fun. make sure its not raining cause it hurts! ummm just have fun!!
