Gun Control, what do the majority of Americans believe?

Let me reword this question, why do stupid liberals stand for gun control?

laws do no good for the people that break them. they affect the everyday citizen that believes they have to obey the law. cocaine, speed, methanphedamines are against the law but they still seem to be killing kids at an astounding rate. Sure glad you regulate it though. we wouldnt want everybody to be snorting. gun control argument is no different.

If you really want to start saving lives try car control. Auto accident kill more people than guns. Also, how about banning prescription drugs, they kill almost 300 people per day. Or doctors for that matter. They kill more people through medical mistakes than guns or knives combined.

If you take away the honest Americans rights, what do we have left? I just bought a shotgun from a neighbor, how is the government going to control that? There will never be gun control in this country and there shouldn't be. Most gun owners are not the problem. Its the bad guys who use them that are the problem. They will get guns no matter what, just like me buying a shotgun from a neighbor.

I can only guess what the majority of Americans think. But the ones who have a brain and use it know that seldom is a gun that is kept for home protection used. Most of the time it is under lock and key and unavailable for emergencies. Also, accidental shootings of children is a major concern since kids will often find the weapon and play with it. They sometimes can discharge it and kill themselves or others. Burglars are also a threat. they love to steal guns and sell them on the black market. Those who have to have assault weapons, and exotic rifles are not your average hunter with his 30/06 deer rifle. They are classified in the gun nut category and simply get some degree of pleasure from possessing something powerful and deadly. I'm not in favor of complete gun control. I believe there is a legitimate use for hunting weapons. I also believe that some people need to be licensed to carry small arms for self protection and for law enforcement. But the right to bear arms has to do with keeping a militia and nothing to do with the right for every asshole# to own a bazooka.

I think the majority of the people have no complaint of having a 3 day waiting period, to check a person out. But, gun control will only help the criminals-they will always have ways to get guns, and if there are none to stand against them--------problems!

Most liberals like the idea of gun control because they believe it will work. They use the simple logic of less guns = less crime. Of course this is pure ignorance of the facts, but, to anti-gunners, ignorance is bliss.

Recently my opinion has changed when I heard someone say (I think it was the comedian who says Git R Done) say something like: you cannot blame guns for violence, its the person holding the gun making bad decisions, it would be like going into a spelling test and blaming the pencil you use because it wrote all the wrong answers on the test!

I'm a liberal, I'm not stupid, and I'm definitely not for gun control. Why do so many people have unfounded assumptions? Would that be considered ignorance, or stupidity? Maybe it's just because they rely on Fox Hole T.V.
