Tips From Suicide Prevention Resources
1. TAKE IT SERIOUSLY
a. Myth: "The people who talk about it don't do it." Studies have found that more than 75% of all completed suicides did things in the few weeks or months prior to their deaths to indicate to others that they were in deep despair. Anyone expressing suicidal feelings needs immediate attention.
b. Myth: "Anyone who tries to kill himself has got to be crazy." Perhaps 10% of all suicidal people are psychotic or have delusional beliefs about reality. Most suicidal people suffer from the recognized mental illness of depression; but many depressed people adequately manage their daily affairs. The absence of "craziness" does not mean the absence of suicide risk.
c. "Those problems weren't enough to commit suicide over," is often said by people who knew a completed suicide.

before i answer the first question, let me answer the second; have you actually met people who have slashed their wrists, gone to hell and came back to tell you all about it? dude, if they had been to hell, and even if they dont, they are way dead and gone. to decide whether someone goes to hell or heaven isnt up to our judgement. i am sure you dont slash your wrist. are you going to heaven?
people slash their wrists when they enter into a mode of depression or when they are so numbed by the problems in their lives that they think they need to feel pain to know if they are still alive. seeing their wrists turn bloody is an affirmation of this state. it may sound nonsensical and illogical for people who are happy and carefree with no worries in the world- but once you are in this state of being, you probably then will understand why they do it. not everyone can find that "happy solution" when they sink into a valley of problems. some people drink their sorrows away. some people become suicidal.
not all those who slash their wrists actually mean to die.
i didnt want to.

If you are mudered or if you commit suicide your spirit goes into limbo you may find yourself walking the earth in another dimension for eternity. Wrist slashing is one way of commiting suicide, although sometimes suicide is not the intention of the slasher. People in these situations feel immense emotions for any number of different reasons, some may be screaming out for attention, (not the hey look at me i'm the greatest attention) but the "somebody please help me i'm not doing very well at the moment" attention. Mental illness is fast getting recognition as a legitimate illness that can and should be treated. Not very long ago you had to try and deal with it alone. As suicides especially with young males increase, more and more people are learning to talk about these problems and more help is fast becoming available.

I used to work with kids who did this and most had been abused as kids (very seriously). It often gave them a sense of "control" or the feeling that they were "taking action" against their bad situation and emotions, even if it was hurtful. Or, it was sometimes used as a way to get attention, since they had only been ignored (by their families) or gotten hurtful attention.
According to a site for teens (teenhealth.org): "Self-injury is not new. It's also not a very common behavior. But lately people are talking about it more. As guys and girls hear about cutting, they may feel curious about it and why people do it. Because it seems a little bit forbidden, some younger teens may think that cutting might make them seem daring, grown up, or popular."
They also report that some kids who cut say it feels like "waking up from a bad dream". It's a way of getting themselves out of an anxious or frightening frame of mind, because they don't know any good coping skills.(1)
According to an article in about.com: "Others report that the pain is what calms them down. One theory is that such pain results in the release of endorphins, natural opium-like substances. The resulting "high" may feel good, and reinforce the behavior. This is sometimes thought of as "self-soothing." The fact that it sometimes occurs in abuse survivors has led some to speculate that self-mutilation may involve a re-enactment of the abuse, or self-punishment related to self-esteem problems." (2)
The same site also stated: "Recognize that cutting is a plea for help. "Very often kids (who cut) felt there was no one adult in their lives they could talk to, who accepted them for who they were and could share back and forth with them," said West Mesa High School counselor Kathy Scott. "That's what it takes for kids -- at least one person to take an interest."
As for whether these kids will "go to hell"? I personally don't believe in a hell, but if there WAS one, why would kids who are suffering and only hurting themselves because they were hurt by others, be sent to a place of punishment?
They need treatment and attention, not more suffering!

People slash their wrists as a means of ending their lives. They do not go to hell, heaven or anywhere else. They die. That's it. There is no where to go.

How would we know if they go to hell? Hello, if we were in the afterlife, we probably wouldn't be answering this would we? Anyway, our bodies are our temples. If you choose to abuse your temple, isn't that your choice? That probably sounds corny, but it's true!

its a sense of pain that they can control. I'm not sure if they go to hell for doing that.

people who slash their writs are not mentally stable. if they die we are not God, and don't know where they go. because if their mental state is not sound how can they know what they are doing?
To go to hell you have to be aware of that what you are doing is wrong and you do it anyway.
But as I said before we are not God. What if the person knew what she/he was doing and asked God (sincerely) for forgiveness before dieing?

only if they do it & don't live
I guess people want to kill themselves because they think there is no other way out of the problems they are facing,
they don't know that in time things can get better, SO SAD
