It all depends upon your budget,
and purpose of visiting any
restaurant.
If you have limited budget to spend,
and give treat to your friends, I would
advise the following:
1. Visit the restaurant during day-time,
and sit with the Manager for a discussion.
2. Tell him about your budget and number
of guests.
3. Take his brilliant opinion about menu
fixing and pricing.
4. He will be the best person to advise
you.
5. When you reach the venue, with your
friends, the Manager will welcome you
and your frends with smile.
6. He will also say that the particular
table is reserved for you only.
7. When he comes for taking orders
for food, ask for his suggestions,
(which are already fixed- and not
known to your guests) and order
as per pre determined choices.
8. This will not only help you to spend
judiciously, but give you worth for
money and your friends will think
brilliant of you.
9. You should also feel happy about
treating your guests.

If it's to impress your date you may want to check out the rest.
before you go. If it's in a large city check out the Menu Pages.com

Search on the internet for the area and its restaurants. If you're going out on a date, do not choose something messy like soup or spaghetti, or something that involves using your hands, such as spear ribs. Try and go somewhere not too rich in taste, but not too cheap, as in try to impress her, but not too much! It is also good to know what your partner likes too.

Ask the waiter what is the speciality of the day. Or you can ask him directly to help you out in the selection. I'm sure he will be glad to.
