i know they are drinkers..but what else? is there a website that would give me the information?

I think it is stereotypes of the Irish you're looking for rather than characteristics or personality traits, if drinking is your example.
Another is that the Irish are good storytellers and Irish girls are 'easy'.

You must be kidding!!
You cannot label the population of an entire country drinkers! Personality traits are not inherited like that. What you might be thinking of is specific cultural traits, that are common amongst people living in the same (sub)culture. These are not inherited per se, but rather passed on through the upbringing of children or regulative actions in that same culture.

I have about 1/4 Irish blood in me. From what I understand of myself and my siblings and my father (who is the Irish blood bearer) Irish are not a patient people. Irish have also been known to be hard workers and finishers of tasks. Known for their "mule-like" strength, the men, as women are thick bodied through to the core and mind.
Oh yeah, my father is an alcoholic. I enjoy a glass of red wine nearly each day. I don't think I'm an alcoholic- but then again I could be in denial!~hahaha CHEERS~!

Wild, colourful imaginations. But a tendency to get carried away with them. Irish are smart, but there is a wee bit of chaos in their minds.

They are not predisposed to drinking this is just a myth that has been started in order to degrade this cultural group. Many irish are fair skinned, light coloured hair and eyes.

I'll have you know not all irish people drink,my folks are irish and they don't drink,I have lots of irish relatives and friends who don't drink either.
The irish are very nice warm friendly people.

a true irish is 100% catholic.
they are illiterate and they haven't contributed anything to any culture other than provide dirty cops and couontless DUI's.
