spermicides?

Question

me an my fiancee have sex without condoms. she uses the nuvaring. i still want to take extra steps to keep from getting her pregnant. i have been researching spermicides. I know about all the different types. I just want to hear from any guy or couples who have used it.
1.Was it effective?
2.Did it irritate you?
3.What kind of spermicide did you use and what brand?

I used the "Vaginal Contraceptive Film". It was expensive and a pain it the butt (the film would stick to your finger putting it in).

I would use the sponge if it is available, or suppositories.

Encare inserts work well. I do have a suggestion though. No matter what you use try rubbing a small amount on your skin somewhere and your partners skin. My huband found out the very hard way that he is allergic to Nonoxynol 9 which is the main ingredient in spermicide. It was not a pretty site. I would say if in 24 hours arent burning or itching or red where you have put it you are ok (if you are allergic its almost immediate though!)

I never used spermicides,but it's refreshing to hear of a MAN wanting to take extra precautions. Usually, only women worry about this. Thank you!!

If we start up thinking in those words then the inhabitants of the worldwide will quickly explode. combating a being pregnant till now it turns right into a actuality is easily extra valuable than the different option i will think of of. Destroying a sperm isn't the comparable as having an abortion. do not bypass there.
