My friend told me that Sasuke from the Naruto anime died, did he really or is she lying to me?

yes he does when he goes with those sound ninjas.the sound ninjas tell him he must die once in order to get the second stage of the curse mark.(more power) so sasuke takes a pill and then the sound ninjas put him in a barrel (i don't remember why) but he comes back to life.so yes he died once but is still alive. if u want more info on this e-mail me.

Sasuke is a major character in the series and a major drive for Naruto. In both the new anime and manga released last week in Japan Sasuke is alive and actually quite well. Though not much of Sasuke is seen after the Chunnin exams.

Well...I don't think that she was lieing to you, I think that she was miscleary informed...in one of the early episodes around 15-ish, it seems as if Sasuke will die, because he stood in one of Haku's attacks in order to protect Naruto...but he eventually wakes up!!! Oh wait, I was thinking about this and I just remembered, when Sasuke went with Orochimaru's Sound Four, he had to die, but I would not say that he was actually dieing because he woke up afterwards...

Yeah he died once if you really look at it. In the episode Orochimaru's henchmen said sasuke needs to die once in order to get to a second level of the curse power. So yeha i say he died for a long time in the episode..yup yup! she's right.

To my knowledge, no. When he leaves for Orochimaru, the Sound Five give him a pill that allows him to reach level two power with his cursed seal, and the pill puts him in a dangerous state NEAR death, but he doesn't die. The Sound Five were there to use their shielding abilities to make sure the seal didn't kill him.

That could possibly be where she thought he died. Hope that helps.

man i hope not! but sasuke leaves to go to orochimaru, and the 3rd hokage dies, so for right now sasuke isn't going to die
