Ok folks, looks like one of my ansewers has caused some debate. Here was the question-
Is there a worse band than bon jovi(they really, really, really suck man!)?

I said yes! Those current swine bands Fallout Boy and Panic! At the Disco are todays Bon Jovi. Then Kelly filled her wig- saying that I probably like The Who (I do, but I don't listen to them much... I was a grunge blues kid... With Syd Barrett and Cobain as hereos, and Muddy Waters and Bob Marley as my parents...) and that they where 'ewwww'. She further claimed Panic! At the Disco as - actually saying this:
"
I have NO idea what "what?" is talking about Have you listened to Panic! At the Disco's CD you Obviosly have HORRIBLE taste in music for all I know you could enjoy listening to The Who or something ewww I Do NOT agree with you AT ALL "

BUT THEN crazed_actor came to my defence, saying
"Listen up, children. I realize it's almost impossible for you to comprehend, but there was in fact a lot of music produced before the year 2000. Furthermore, some of these bands that you dismiss ("ewwww"), such as The Who for example, have been among the most influential bands of all time. Ask your precious Fallout Boy, Franz Ferdinand, Panic at the Disco, etc, who their musical inspiration was. Hint: they're not going to say it was The Wallflowers or Maroon 5."

HERE IS TH QUESTION- to all those who just listen to music and not play it- WHO THE HELL INFLUENCES US MUSICIANS? what we listen too, right? Is that why EMO music sucks, cause they all listen to cheese 1980 glam rock?

I'm with you dude. I'm a mixed breed between grunge, metal, and southern rock & blues. Most of these new bands are a flash in the pan. Remember Bacstreet boys, or how about New Kids on the Block? Or even older.....Poison? They will never last like the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Metallica. And their music will never make an impact like a Nirvana or Guns and Roses.

All I can say is Listen to what you like! You may like only one type of music but broaden your taste.I can listen to As I Lay Dying for one reason and Chris Tomlin for another. All music(you will not like everything) has artists behind it who have been influenced by lots of different music.Sorry,Rambling about nothing

There is no accounting for taste. We like what we like for many different reasons. Music is definitely not a one size fits all. Their really is no such thing as a crap band.

I like both sides musically wise. I like alot of the older bands mention ed and some of the newer ones. I think you like what you like. In the defense of some of the newer bands whether you like them or not they are musically talented or they wouldnt be in the position that they are in today. And remember in the 70's i bet alot of people hated the who because it wasnt in line with the older styles of music.

that's a large Maiden track! My call is from the Radiohead album and my modern avatar is the conceal of dying's "individual concept varieties". I used to have "The link" by making use of Gojira and "by using Silver In Blood" by making use of Neurosis as my avatar. i don't placed that lots concept into an avatar photograph - if i think of it seems sturdy i will placed it up.

seems like a retarded question.
What I like and what you like could be entirely different. Does not mean that what I like sucks or what you like sucks. personaly I dont like Bon Jovi, but they have sold millions of albums, sold out many stadiums (not just arenas, but actual stadiums) so someone must like them...
