They are too dependent on western policies.
Do not have substantial export income.
Do not have any readymade market around after their war with India.
Spending too much on military.
Military regime is stifling innovation.
Middle class is not that much developed which means less movement out of country and less expatriate money.
Sectarian violence makes it impossible for them to develop themselves properly.

lol , I do not believe it is possible to resolve the economic problems in that failed state , until the population is eradicated somehow. That way you can start over fresh. I am serious other than a few primitive nuclear weapons Pakistan is not a even a major power and if we wanted to (we meaning the USA) we could make sure they do not threaten anyone with those weapons. I am afraid all muslim nations just do not have the capacity to take care of themselves which is why the western world should band together and intervene. before they destroy each other.

What are the current economic problems of any third-world country? Poverty! Too many people and not enough money or resources. If the leaders of those countries would part with some of the money and luxuries that they enjoy, they could easily feed their people.

the actual problems of pakistan is loss of training and the biggest project is the madras-as,and mosqes. the government could save his eyes and ears open like in saudi arabia.
