It's very expensive....I'm in the RN program myself, I have a couple of suggestions for you to make it easier....
By you already having a BA in Psychology you may have already knocked out some of the prerequisites.....
I don't know where you work but I work for LA County and they actually pay for my training....yes it's completely FREE..the only catch is I have to dedicate 5years of my service...that's fine because I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon....
If I leave then I would have to pay for the program out of pocket...
So look into getting a job in a Hospital that will help you or pay for your training....

Good luck to you.....
By the way: Cerritos College, El Camino, and Harbor College have Excellent Nursing Programs......

Sorry, I was going to suggest financial aid,but I know nothing of U.S. System. Although I will offer a word of caution. I watched one of those 20/20 or some type like that, and they investigated a growing # of schools signing students up, so they could receive government aid knowing full well their was no hope of passing or future. Hidden cameras showed administrators telling applicants. only finishing grade 9 was fine they were still illegible to en roll to be enquire, doctor, teacher, even if illiterate. They were not told to get as much as an equivalent diploma first. Just sign for aid. Then if you can't do work.. Oh Well. NO REFUNDS1 next uneducated naive eligible for gov. $$.
