Anybody earning over half a million annually to entertain (football, hollywood, whatever) gets paid too much. I don't care how hard they work, blah blah blah, they are siphoning off money from the middle class...and they should feel ashamed.

No they are a form of entertainment. If you take a look at it football players only average a 2 year career. Yes there are others that make lots of money and play for 15-20 years but the majority does not. You also have to look at the fans until we stop watching the games and buying merchandise nothing will change.

In a free economy, anyone can earn what they can earn and what the market calls for. Evidently, football players can demand and get a lot of money for their service as football players. The same is true of Hollywood icons and baseball players. So, it really doesn't matter a rat's behind what I think. It depends solely on what the market will bear.

This is where one's career is short hence the need for them to be paid soooo muuuuuccccchhhh!!! Millions of British pounds to enable them live a decent life after their illustrious career.
