my friends, employees, girlfriend.everyone and on a daily basis.they walk all over me and couldn't care about me one bit.i am sure if i were dead then they would be upset, but only because they couldn't get anything more from me.

People will treat you however you allow them to treat them. The better question is what message are you sending that people think it is okay to treat you the way they do.
Be strong and stand your ground. Demand the respect that you deserve. I'm sure things will be looking up.

Learn to say NO and don't feel guilty about it. Saying no doesn't make you a bad person. Help others only when they deserve it, when is reciprocal, when they are grateful or really in need. If you can tell they don't care a bit, why should you go the extra mile to help them. Value and love yourself so other people can do it. Respect yourself and don't let them use you. If you respect and love yourself, people will do the same and if they don't, remember you don't want them close to you. Place your limits and stand up for youself. Good luck!

Because you let them, you can always be nice, but firm in your NO's and beliefs. People like to get over on people who do not put a stop to the leeches, and take you for granted, I agree with you people can be big time users, and it is SOLELY up to you to change, if not they will continue, so I say surprise them with the NEW YOU!!!!

Because you let them and why? Stand up for yourself, They will have a better outlook on you if you don't let them walk all over you. You are some body not a stepping stone, let them know it and they will stop.

Chances are your to nice and easy going and they know this. Once in a while you have to say no. Of course I'm not saying to say no to your boss ;o) they might not like that, but to your friends and other co-workers. You might see a difference if you try this. good luck to you. ;o)
