42. Which is the most points any premiership team has ever been relegated with. They went down on the final day of the season, The drey with Birmingham 2-2 which would of kept them up but Middelsbrough beat Bolton so they just got an extra point over the Hammers. If Middlesbrough had lost West Ham would have stayed up and most probably had kept Jermain Defoe.
