This is the main obstacle to any peace negotiation. Israel want to keep land that was never part of Israel.

the Palestinian People will never accept what is being done to them. how can they? they're being bombarded by Israeli missiles on a daily basis, their women and children are being murdered, their homes are being bulldozed (sometimes with the inhabitants still inside), their lands are being stolen, they're being forced into filthy poverty ridden ghettos. in other words they have nothing to lose in resisting Israeli injustice and cruelty as the Israelis have left them nothing ... not even their dignity as a People.
in the MEANwhile Israel has carte blanch to do as they please to their weaker Muslim neighbors. the US refuses to even slap Israeli wrist no matter how heinous are Israeli crimes. but the Palestinian breed faster than Israelis do and Israel is having a harder and harder time recruiting Jews to Israeli so in the long run the Palestinian will win back their homeland by sheer force of numbers.

who cares of the palestinians? they are not a viable community at all. I don't care at all about their pitiful problems and the media should STOP this incredible harassment about them!
