I think he's definitely a "part" of the bomb that's going to destroy New York but I don't think it is because he's having a bad day. I think Sylar or ... someone ... is going to figure out how to use his powers for evil. OR - Sylar is going to find him, eat his brain, absorb the Radioactive guy's powers and bomb New York himself.

That's what I was thinking last night when they (the psychic cop and the female FBI agent) were interviewing the radioactive guy.
Another twist, will the radioactive guy save NYC by absorbing the radiation from the bomb? He hasn't shown any overt abilities to absorb radiation, but is that his power where he is currently pulling and storing the ambient radiation in his body like a sponge and it releases when he's angry? He's like a bizarro-Hulk.
Hereos is turning out to be a pretty good show.
I agree, "Save the cheerleader... Save the world!"

It seems that way, but I am pretty sure it's going to take more than that....if it didn't, why would you need to "save the cheerleader" when the cheerleader herself is (mostly) impervious to harm? :) I mean, yes, if the guy was about to blow up, she might be the only one who can get close enough to talk him down, but after all the trick plots and red herrings in the show, the threat itself *cannot* be that straightforward...can it?
My guess, and it is just a guess, is that somehow, one of the others is going to get a feedback loop going with the radioactive guy (Peter? he does mimic powers it seems....Silar? well, we thought he was D.L., but now it seems he's some telekinetic dude--either in addition to or in spite of previous activity). I mean, that would make more sense *to me* in terms of *needing* the other "good guys" like Hiro and such....
What gets to me though, and I realize, *any* comic-book inspired tale about mutation and evolution is going to hit this snag....is, the connection between the "mutations" and their "pro-survival" value is at best weak as all get out. And yes, mutation is more or less random, and we are talking about *humans* here who are isolated, courtesy of civilization, from the forces of natural selection, but....
You'd *think* that anything as NOT pro-survival as being highly radioactive would be erased from the gene pool a bit quicker than average. As in, the *guy* would have got radiation poisoning and died before anyone else did....
Just saying. :) Love the show otherwise, even if there are nagging inconsistencies here and there....
