She said she was willing and would work with all of the Republicans. If it was just a lie, I hope people see her and the party she has so much power over for what they really are. I understand there are those who just hate Republicans and don't really have a reason, but I am willing to give Nancy the benefit of the doubt.

How can anyone NOT Believe Speaker Pelosi is More than Willing to work with the Prez. Furthermore, one must not forget the other Members in Congress. The NEW members were Voted in by AMERICANS who realized the Urgency of Change., the change and removal of the Rubber Stamps, who mostly pushed Bills soley associated with Corp. interests/profit..,and ignored the needs of Citizens of this Country., For over 200yrs. Americans have been Protected by The Constitution. Total Rule is not the American Way. *Real glad VonRumblitzkrieg ...well, GOT FIRED.. Dikkkk is making Zillions trading Weapons for Lives ///. Got a question Folks..on 9/11 at the school in Florida Dubya is told 'America is Under ATTACK' and Our Leader? just SAT THERE, and sat , with a Dazed stupid look and sat .The Q. is:WHY, WHY did He JUST Sit THERE ?? .I feel as if the people murdered that day, are My/Our American Brother, Mom, Dad, My Child or Grandma or My Friends.,Very soon ALL will hear the TRUTH..(that MANY have known for years) Please dont let THEM divide and conquer,,, now is time to STAND UNITED.....May God Bless America..

You NeoCons are really a piece of work. Pelosi's not even in office yet and already you want to undermine her. Unbelievable!
Bush IS incompetent, dangerous and shallow, and this is well documented. It's not just Pelosi's opinion. Millions upon millions of Americans feel the same way. She WILL work with him because she's intelligent enough to know that the only way for the Democratic Congress to accomplish their goals is through a cooperative effort with Bush. They give a little; he gives a little. That's how real Democracy works.
BTW, two days before the election, hot on the campaign trail, your president said, "A vote for the Democrats is a vote for the terrorists." The day after the election, defeated, rejected and even more inarticulate than normal, he flip-flopped and said lots of nice things about the Dems. Interesting, huh?

I think the real question is whether congress can "do something" of value in the next two years. With a republican congress and president, next to nothing was done. Now, we have two years to see what happens.
Bush, Pelosi... they are politicians... and will say what will motivate their voters. Now, with the midterms past, let's give them a chance.
I believe that they can work together. They are adults. If they have to resort to 2 years of name calling then they all should be removed!

Because politicians often degrade and insult each other and still work together. In order to get things done in life we must often work with incompetent, dangerous and/or shallow people whether in business, education, politics, etc.

How can anyone believe Bush really intends to "work" with the new Speaker of the House?? In the next two years, you'll see nothing more than gridlock. Nothing will be accomplished other than watching bunch of grown adults bickering like little kids. It will turn ugly, and nothing will be accomplished.
I doubt that Bush wants to work with Pelosi anymore than she wants to work with him; and that's where the stalemate begins.

Well, I do agree with her. But I also believe that many politicians fit that same criteria. She expressed a desire to work on a bipartisan level before the Democrats won the mid-terms. Bush has done a 360 on it since the election - he has no choice, now all of a sudden bipartisan is part of his vocabulary. I think we all want to believe that they will work together and not spend all their time trying to thwart each other. It just remains to be seen...

I feel that she is interested in getting a number of issues resolved and the only way to achieve progress is through cooperation, not contention.
