It's a rating system of assigning a season to each group of colorings. Winter and Summer are the cools, Spring and Autumn are the warms. You look at your hair color, eye color, skin shade, and your undertones to figure out which one you are. Then you find the colors that complement you the best.
These are really great sites for finding all that out. While they are a bit more general than some of the others, they have the easiest explanation I've seen out there.

same w/ me.
i've fond that bright red always looks good.
i'm more emo so i prefer balck, but if u have a nice tan it looks great but since it's almost winter, i'm all white so it just makes me look washed out.
dark blue also looks great.
and light blue will make you look more tan.
turquoise looks really good 2.
really any bright colors will make u look great, since u have dark eyes dark hair and a lighter complexion, it'll brighten u up and make your eyes really stand out.
i only know all this cause i have almost black eyes, medium brown hair and fair/medium skin.

hmm.. you could try trying on different colors to see what you think looks good. I'm gothic so all I wear is black. but when I had brown hair I used to wear Brown clothing And I looked very good in it. So I'd say problay brown would be good.

You should be able to wear just about anything. But the only way to be sure is to try on all the colours that appeal to you. If they make you look washed out and colourless, then don't buy them. But if something makes your skin glow and your eyes shine, and you feel comfortable wearing it, then that colour is definitely for you!

It goes by your skin tone. You sound like a winter. You look better in dark colors black, dark browns, navy blues, etc. and in bright colors. Black and Navy blue are your power colors.

I would go for pinks blues and blacks or any colors like that because yellow wouldn't really be your type it would probably look fowl on you.

i would try whites and lighter colors. i bet light blue, pink, and green would be AMAZING.
